OZEV are the team working across the Government supporting the early market adoption of ultra-low emission vehicles, which means electric cars and the chargers to assist them. OZEV are also the office responsible for introducing the Electric Vehicle Homecharge scheme (EVHS) and the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS).
To help private plug-in electric vehicle owners offset some of the upfront cost of the purchase and installation of a dedicated domestic recharging unit, the Government offers the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS). Since 1 April 2020, customers who are the registered keeper, lessee or have primary user of an eligible electric vehicle can receive up to 75% (capped at £350) off the total capital costs of the chargepoint and associated installation costs.
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme which is designed to provide eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints. The contribution is limited to the 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £350 for each socket, and has increased from 20 up to a maximum of 40 across all sites for each applicant.
There will be many questions you’ve got and most can be answered once we’ve completed a diagnostics or survey of your property.
Every property is different, so we need to come out and view the electrics so we can diagnose the problem properly. The last thing we want to do is sell you the wrong part to be fitted, when it could have been a simpler smaller job. But once we’ve had a look, it won’t take long to diagnose the problem and quote you a fixed price repair.
No – all our surveys and quotes are free and completed on a no obligation quote. If you don’t want to proceed or have had a change of heart, you are under no obligation to proceed when we produce your quote.
All our electricians are NICEIC approved. This is one of two bodies in the UK that certify electricians. It means we can sign off anything we wire or install in your property or business premises.
